What to Expect During a Visit

Upon Arrival

  • Let our staff know of any high fever, breathing problems, or rashes so we can make sure your child does not need to be isolated.

  • Please have your health card ready, as our receptionist will confirm the patient’s and caregivers' names, date of birth, address, phone number, and email.

  • You will be directed to an exam room.

  • Please remove jackets and boots. If your child is under 2 years old, undress them down to their diaper.

  • For safety reasons, please remain in the exam room to keep hallways clear.

Your Child’s Check-Up

  • A nurse will take your child’s measurements based on their age:

    • Newborn to 6 months: Head circumference, height, and naked weight

    • 9 to 18 months: Head circumference, height, and weight in diaper

    • 2 to 3 years: Standing height and clothed weight

    • 4 years and older: Blood pressure, standing height, and clothed weight

  • A physician will then assess your child, including:

    • Newborn to 6 months: Head, eyes, mouth, chest, tummy, skin, and diaper area o Review of growth and recommended vaccinations

    • 9 months and older: Head, eyes, mouth, chest, tummy, skin, and diaper area (if needed)

    • Review of growth and recommended vaccinations

  • After obtaining consent, a nurse will administer any recommended vaccinations. At the end of your visit, the receptionist will schedule your next appointment.

How You Can Help Us

  • Arrive before the time stated on your appointment card to allow enough time for check-in and preparation

  • Have your health card ready upon arrival

  • The arrival time on your appointment card is the latest time you can check in. Arriving late will result in rescheduling

  • We understand that unforeseen circumstances may cause delays, but all late arrivals will need to be rebooked to ensure each patient receives proper care

  • Rescheduling is not a penalty—it helps us stay on time and provide quality care for all families

  • While we do not charge late/no-show fees, repeated missed or late appointments may result in removal from our clinic, as they take away care opportunities for other families

  • Verbal aggression toward staff or other patients will result in immediate termination from the clinic
